A healthier version of the classic Chicken Parmesan made in the air fryer, featuring crispy breaded chicken breasts topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally to create 4 thinner cutlets.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each piece in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Lightly spray both sides of breaded chicken with cooking spray.
- Place chicken in air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot with your favorite side.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- For extra crispiness, lightly spray again before the final cook with cheese.
