Description

Amish Country Casserole is the ultimate comfort food – creamy, filling, and full of flavor. This easy baked dish combines tender egg noodles, ground beef, and a rich tomato-cream sauce, all topped with melty cheese. It’s a family favorite that’s budget-friendly and comes together with pantry staples. Great for potlucks, make-ahead meals, or just when you need something warm and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain excess grease.

  • Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, tomato sauce, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  • Add the cooked noodles to the sauce and stir until fully combined.

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey or sausage if preferred.

  • Add peas or green beans for extra veggies.

  • This casserole freezes well – perfect for meal prep!
