Description
Apple Pie Bombs are mini treats bursting with gooey apple pie filling and wrapped in buttery biscuit dough. Baked or air fried until golden and topped with cinnamon sugar, they’re the perfect quick dessert for parties, holidays, or a sweet snack!
Ingredients
-
1 (8-count) can refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands, not flaky layers)
-
1 cup apple pie filling (chopped into small pieces)
-
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
-
1/4 cup granulated sugar
-
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
Optional: caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) if using that method.
-
Open biscuit dough and flatten each piece slightly with your hands.
-
Spoon about 1 tablespoon of chopped apple pie filling into the center of each dough round.
-
Pinch the edges tightly to seal and form a ball. Place seam-side down on a lined baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.
-
Brush each ball with melted butter.
-
In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle over the top of each pie bomb.
-
To Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
To Air Fry: Air fry for 8–10 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
-
Let cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel sauce if desired and serve warm!
Notes
-
Chop the apple pie filling into smaller chunks so it fits easily in the dough.
-
You can swap in other fillings like cherry, peach, or Nutella for fun variations.
-
Best served warm, but they can be reheated in the oven or air fryer.
