Ingredients
-
1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
-
6 slices bacon, chopped
-
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
3 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
-
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
-
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the pan.
-
Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
-
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
-
Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly.
-
Add cooked tortellini and bacon back into the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
-
Cook for another 1–2 minutes, until heated through.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
-
For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
-
Add cooked chicken or steamed broccoli for extra protein or veggies.
-
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of cream or milk.
