Description

This Bacon Tortellini Alfredo is a rich and comforting pasta dish made with cheesy tortellini, crispy bacon, and a creamy homemade Alfredo sauce. It’s a one-pan dinner that comes together in under 30 minutes—perfect for busy nights when you want something indulgent and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini

  • 6 slices bacon, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the pan.

  3. Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly.

  6. Add cooked tortellini and bacon back into the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.

  7. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, until heated through.

  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.

  • Add cooked chicken or steamed broccoli for extra protein or veggies.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of cream or milk.
