Description

This Baked Feta Pasta recipe combines a creamy, oven-roasted feta cheese sauce with sweet cherry tomatoes and perfectly cooked pasta, creating a simple yet flavorful Mediterranean-inspired dish that comes together in just 35 minutes, perfect for a comforting weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese and Vegetables

  • 1 block feta cheese (approximately 200g)
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Seasonings and Oil

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Pasta and Garnish

  • 8 oz pasta of choice
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the feta and tomatoes.
  2. Prepare Baking Dish: Place the block of feta cheese in the center of a baking dish and surround it evenly with the cherry tomatoes.
  3. Add Seasonings and Oil: Drizzle the olive oil over the feta and tomatoes, then sprinkle the minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper on top to add flavor.
  4. Bake Feta and Tomatoes: Bake the dish in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the feta is soft, creamy, and slightly golden, and the tomatoes have burst and softened.
  5. Cook Pasta: While the feta is baking, cook your pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  6. Mix Sauce: Once the feta and tomatoes are baked, stir the mixture in the baking dish until it becomes a creamy sauce.
  7. Toss Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the feta and tomato sauce, tossing everything together until the pasta is well coated.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the pasta with fresh basil leaves before serving for a fresh herbal note.
