Description

A delicious homemade BBQ chicken pizza with tangy barbecue sauce, tender chicken, red onions, and gooey cheese on a crispy crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel.
  4. Brush the dough with olive oil and spread the barbecue sauce evenly over the surface.
  5. Top with shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and red onion slices.
  6. Carefully transfer the pizza to the oven or pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped cilantro if desired, and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
