Description

This comforting dish brings together tender ground beef, rotini pasta, and a rich, creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. It’s quick, hearty, and perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 12 oz rotini pasta

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

  • Olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  • Cook the rotini pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set beef aside.

  • In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Stir in the flour and cook for another minute to make a roux.

  • Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

  • Bring to a gentle simmer and let it thicken for 3–5 minutes.

  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  • Add the cooked beef and rotini pasta into the sauce. Stir to combine and heat through.

  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.

  • Add steamed broccoli or spinach for extra veggies.

  • Adjust seasoning to taste—more garlic or chili flakes if you like some heat.
