- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1–2 Roma tomatoes, diced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 small jalapeño, seeds removed and finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
- Add lime juice and salt, then mash with a fork or potato masher until you reach your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
- Stir in cumin and garlic powder if using.
- Fold in the red onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeño.
- Taste and adjust with more lime juice or salt, if needed.
- Serve immediately, or cover with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface to prevent browning and refrigerate until ready to serve.

- Skip the tomato if you prefer a smoother dip.
- Add a dash of hot sauce for extra heat.
- Best served fresh!
