Description

This Buttery Garlic Pizza is a simple yet flavor-packed twist on traditional pizza. A golden, buttery crust is topped with garlic-infused olive oil, mozzarella cheese, and fresh herbs for the ultimate garlic bread-meets-pizza experience. Serve it as an appetizer, side dish, or easy weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

For the Dough (or use store-bought):

  • 1 ball of pizza dough (about 12-14 oz)

For the Buttery Garlic Topping:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh)

  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt, to taste

For the Pizza:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone or steel, place it in the oven while preheating. Otherwise, lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.

  2. Prepare the Dough:

    • Roll or stretch the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle or oval on a floured surface. Transfer to a piece of parchment paper or prepared baking sheet.

  3. Make the Garlic Butter:

    • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, oregano, parsley, and red pepper flakes. Stir well.

  4. Assemble the Pizza:

    • Brush the entire dough generously with the garlic butter mixture, making sure to cover the edges for a buttery crust.

    • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

    • Add Parmesan cheese and a pinch of salt for extra flavor.

  5. Bake:

    • Bake for 10–13 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. Finish & Serve:

    • Garnish with chopped parsley or basil if desired.

    • Slice and serve warm—pairs great with marinara for dipping!

Notes

  • Want to add toppings? This buttery garlic base is perfect with mushrooms, spinach, or grilled chicken.

  • You can use pre-made naan or flatbread for a super quick version—just bake for 6–8 minutes instead.
