Description

This Caprese Dip is a delicious twist on the classic Caprese salad. It’s made with layers of gooey melted mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze – all finished off with fresh basil. Serve it warm with toasted bread or crackers for a crowd-pleasing appetizer that disappears fast!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped (about 1/4 cup)

  • Balsamic glaze, for drizzling (store-bought or homemade)

  • Toasted baguette slices, crostini, or crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, cream cheese, and Parmesan. Mix until well blended.

  3. Spread the cheese mixture into a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet.

  4. Toss the cherry tomatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  5. Spread the tomatoes evenly over the cheese layer.

  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh basil.

  8. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.

  9. Serve warm with toasted bread or crackers.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.

  • Want more creaminess? Mix in a bit of sour cream or Greek yogurt with the cheese.

  • You can roast the tomatoes ahead of time for extra flavor.
