Sugar Snap Peas:
- 12 ounces sugar snap peas (trimmed)
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice or rice vinegar (optional for brightness)
Instructions
- Heat the Pan: Heat a large skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat until very hot.
- Season Snap Peas: Toss sugar snap peas with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add them to the pan in a single layer and let cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until blistered and charred on one side.
- Cook: Stir and cook for another 2 minutes until crisp-tender and lightly charred all over.
- Finish: Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and a splash of lemon juice or rice vinegar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding minced garlic or a drizzle of toasted sesame oil.
