Description

A Cheese Quesadilla is a simple and satisfying Mexican-inspired dish made with melted cheese inside a crispy, golden tortilla—perfect as a quick snack, appetizer, or meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking spray
  • Optional sides: salsa, sour cream, guacamole

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese.
  3. Top with the second tortilla and cook for 2–3 minutes, or until the bottom is golden and cheese begins to melt.
  4. Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook the other side for another 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, then slice into wedges and serve with desired sides.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for the best melt and flavor.
  • Add extras like beans, veggies, or meats for variety.
  • Make mini versions using smaller tortillas for snacks or parties.
