Description

A hearty and comforting dish, Cheesy Beef and Bowtie Pasta combines tender ground beef with bowtie pasta in a rich, cheesy tomato sauce. Perfect for a quick family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until soft, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  5. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix well to combine with the sauce.
  7. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until melted and evenly distributed.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey for a lighter version.
  • Can be prepared ahead and reheated for a quick meal.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
