Description

This cheesy skillet lasagna is everything you love about traditional lasagna but made in one pan and ready in under an hour! It’s rich, hearty, loaded with ground beef, marinara sauce, and melty cheese—all cooked on the stovetop. No layering, no baking, just quick comfort food at its best.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 24 oz jar marinara sauce

  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth

  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.

  2. Stir in diced onion and garlic, and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.

  3. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

  4. Pour in the marinara sauce and beef broth. Stir to combine.

  5. Add broken lasagna noodles to the skillet, making sure they’re submerged in the sauce. Bring to a simmer.

  6. Cover and cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender.

  7. Stir in ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella. Mix until creamy.

  8. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan over the top. Cover for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese melts.

  9. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can swap the ground beef for ground turkey or plant-based meat if you prefer.

  • For extra veggies, stir in spinach or chopped zucchini during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

  • Use oven-ready lasagna noodles for even faster results.
