Description

This Chicken Cordon Bleu Meatloaf combines all the classic flavors of the traditional dish—chicken, ham, and Swiss cheese—into a comforting and satisfying meatloaf form. Perfect for a hearty family dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground chicken
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 6 slices deli ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. On a sheet of parchment paper, flatten the chicken mixture into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the surface.
  5. Layer the ham slices evenly over the meat, followed by the Swiss cheese slices.
  6. Carefully roll the meat up tightly into a loaf, using the parchment to help guide it. Seal the ends to keep the filling inside.
  7. Transfer the meatloaf to the prepared baking sheet or loaf pan, seam side down.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use toothpicks to help keep the roll secure while baking if needed.
  • Try adding a light breadcrumb or cheese topping for extra flavor and crunch.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
