Dough:
- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
Filling:
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
Icing:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Dough Preparation: Combine warm milk and yeast in a large bowl. Add sugar, eggs, melted butter, flour, and salt. Knead until smooth, then let rise until doubled.
- Rolling and Filling: Roll out dough, spread with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, roll up, and cut into rolls. Place in a baking dish and let rise again.
- Baking: Bake at 350°F for 22–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Icing: Mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth. Spread over warm rolls.
Notes
- For overnight rolls, refrigerate after the second rise and let sit at room temperature before baking.
