Description
These Crack Chicken Tenders are packed with bold flavor and covered in a creamy, cheesy, ranch-seasoned coating that’s completely addictive—hence the name! Baked to crispy perfection (or air fried if you prefer), they make a family-friendly dinner or great game-day snack.
Ingredients
-
1 1/2 lbs chicken tenders (or chicken breasts cut into strips)
-
8 oz cream cheese, softened
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
-
1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz)
-
1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional)
-
1 cup panko breadcrumbs (optional, for crispier coating)
-
Cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
-
In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, ranch seasoning, crumbled bacon, and green onions (if using). Mix until smooth.
-
Pat the chicken tenders dry with a paper towel.
-
Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture over each chicken tender.
-
Optional: Press each coated tender into panko breadcrumbs to add an extra crunchy layer.
-
Place the tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray to help them crisp in the oven.
-
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the topping is golden and bubbly. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
-
Serve hot, with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a salad, roasted veggies, or fries.
Notes
-
These are also great in the air fryer! Air fry at 375°F for 14–16 minutes, flipping halfway.
-
To save time, use pre-cooked bacon or bacon bits.
-
You can prep these ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
-
Not a fan of cream cheese? Sub with Greek yogurt or a mix of sour cream and mayo for a tangier version.
