Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Cajun Seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Pasta:

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cajun Seasoning: In a small bowl, mix together all the Cajun seasoning ingredients until well combined. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Season the chicken slices with Cajun seasoning. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the chicken in olive oil until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Cook the Pasta: Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté bell peppers, onion, and garlic until softened. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, and Cajun seasoning. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  5. Combine and Serve: Add the cooked pasta and chicken to the sauce, tossing to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • You can adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or less cayenne pepper to the Cajun seasoning.
  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like mushrooms or spinach to the pasta for extra flavor and nutrients.
  • This dish pairs well with a side of garlic bread or a crisp green salad.
