Description

This creamy Cajun shrimp pasta is packed with bold flavors, tender shrimp, and a rich, spicy cream sauce. It’s a quick and easy weeknight dinner that feels like a restaurant-quality meal, ready in under 30 minutes. Perfectly seasoned shrimp paired with al dente pasta and a creamy Cajun-spiced sauce – this dish will become a go-to favorite!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (divided)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • In a medium bowl, toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir in Parmesan cheese, paprika, remaining Cajun seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  • Return the shrimp to the pan, along with the cooked pasta. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the creamy sauce.

  • Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can swap shrimp for chicken or sausage for a different twist.

  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
