Description

A comforting and hearty creamy spaghetti and meatballs recipe featuring tender meatballs simmered in a rich, creamy tomato sauce served over spaghetti.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (optional)
  • Extra Parmesan for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined and form into small meatballs.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, pour in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and return meatballs to the skillet. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until meatballs are cooked through and sauce is creamy.
  5. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the creamy sauce and meatballs or serve the sauce and meatballs on top.
  7. Garnish with chopped basil and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Use a mix of ground beef and pork for extra juicy meatballs.
  • Substitute heavy cream with half and half for a lighter sauce.
  • Make the meatballs ahead and freeze for a quicker meal prep.
  • Serve with garlic bread and a side salad for a complete meal.
