  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer Base: Sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped pecans over the bottom of the pan.
  3. Prepare Cake: Mix German chocolate cake batter as per instructions and pour over the coconut and pecans.
  4. Make Filling: Beat cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over the cake batter without spreading.
