Description
This easy cinnamon roll apple pie combines gooey cinnamon rolls and sweet apple pie filling for a quick and irresistible twist on a classic dessert, perfect for holidays or weekend treats.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (12.4 oz) can refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for dusting)
- 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- Open the cinnamon roll package and separate the rolls. Set the icing aside for later use.
- On a lightly floured surface, flatten each cinnamon roll into a 3–4 inch circle using your hands or a rolling pin.
- Press the flattened rolls into the pie dish to form a crust, covering the bottom and sides, overlapping slightly and pressing to seal gaps.
- In a bowl, stir the apple pie filling with cinnamon and nutmeg if using. Pour into the cinnamon roll crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle with reserved icing.
- Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
Notes
- Use homemade apple pie filling if preferred for fresher flavor.
- Chill slightly before slicing for cleaner pieces.
- Great for brunch, dessert, or even a holiday breakfast treat.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
