- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 12 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
- Extra Oreos for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped Oreo cookies.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Top with extra Oreo pieces if desired.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Do not overbake for the fudgiest brownies.
