- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Rub chicken with olive oil, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken breasts in the baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce evenly over each piece.
- Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the chicken, then return to oven and bake for another 10–15 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked (internal temp 165°F) and cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving. Serve with pasta, salad, or crusty bread.
