Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Rub chicken with olive oil, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place chicken breasts in the baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce evenly over each piece.
  4. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the chicken, then return to oven and bake for another 10–15 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked (internal temp 165°F) and cheese is bubbly and golden.
