Ingredients
-
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
-
1/2 cup granulated sugar
-
1/2 cup butter (melted)
-
1 cup raspberry jam or preserves
-
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
-
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture becomes a crumbly dough.
-
Press about 2/3 of the dough mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the base.
-
Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the dough, covering it completely.
-
Sprinkle the remaining dough mixture on top of the jam layer, followed by the rolled oats.
-
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the bars are golden brown and the jam is bubbling.
-
Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool in the dish before slicing into squares.
Notes
-
You can use any type of fruit jam or preserves, such as strawberry, blueberry, or apricot, for a different flavor.
-
For a slightly crunchy topping, press the oats lightly into the dough before baking.
-
These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
