Description

This quick and easy Peanut Satay Sauce is creamy, savory, and slightly sweet with a hint of heat. Perfect for dipping, drizzling, or as a marinade, this sauce comes together in just 5 minutes and pairs wonderfully with chicken, vegetables, or even tofu. A must-try for any peanut lover!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1-2 tablespoons warm water (to adjust consistency)

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic.

  • Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.

  • Add warm water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

  • If you prefer a spicy kick, stir in red pepper flakes to taste.

  • Taste and adjust with more honey or soy sauce, depending on your preferred sweetness or saltiness.

  • Serve immediately as a dipping sauce for grilled meats, vegetables, or tofu. You can also use it as a drizzle over salads or noodle bowls.

Notes

  • You can use creamy peanut butter for a smoother sauce or chunky peanut butter for added texture.

  • To make the sauce spicier, increase the red pepper flakes or add a small amount of sriracha.

  • This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
