Description

Crispy on the outside, tangy on the inside—these Fried Pickles are the ultimate snack or party appetizer! Dill pickle slices are coated in a seasoned batter, then fried to golden perfection. Serve them up with ranch or your favorite dipping sauce for a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) jar dill pickle chips or slices, drained and patted dry

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

  • Vegetable oil, for frying

  • Ranch dressing or dipping sauce, for serving

Instructions

  • Heat 1–2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).

  • Set up a dredging station with three bowls:

    • Bowl 1: Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

    • Bowl 2: Whisk together eggs and milk.

    • Bowl 3: Add breadcrumbs.

  • Dip each pickle slice into the flour mixture, then the egg wash, then coat with breadcrumbs.

  • Fry the coated pickles in batches for 2–3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

  • Serve hot with ranch or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Make sure pickles are well-dried before coating to help the batter stick.

  • Use panko for extra crunch!

  • These are best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes.
