Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
5-6 garlic cloves, minced
-
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
-
1 tablespoon lemon juice
-
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
-
Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Add chicken and cook 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the butter.
-
Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring often so it doesn’t burn.
-
Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.
-
Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top, and let everything simmer together for 2 more minutes.
-
Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
Notes
-
For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream to the sauce.
-
Want a little kick? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
-
Pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread.
