Ingredients
Scale
Lobster Tails
- 4 lobster tails (4–6 oz each)
Garlic Butter Sauce
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
To Serve
- Lemon wedges
Instructions
- Preheat the Broiler: Preheat the oven broiler to high and position the oven rack about 5–6 inches from the heat source to ensure intense direct heat for perfect cooking.
- Prepare Lobster Tails: Using kitchen scissors, cut down the top of each lobster tail shell lengthwise, stopping at the tail end. Gently pull the meat out and rest it on top of the shell, keeping it attached at the base for a nice presentation and even cooking.
- Make Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to combine all the flavorful ingredients.
- Brush Lobster with Sauce: Generously brush the lobster meat with the prepared garlic butter mixture to coat each tail thoroughly, enhancing flavor and moisture during cooking.
- Broil the Lobster Tails: Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and broil for 8–10 minutes. During cooking, baste once or twice with additional garlic butter to keep the meat succulent and flavorful. The lobster is done when the meat turns opaque and slightly browned on top.
- Serve: Remove the lobster tails from the oven, spoon any remaining garlic butter over the tops for extra richness, and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges for squeezing over the meat.
Notes
- Use fresh or properly thawed frozen lobster tails for best quality and texture.
- For added flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
- Be careful not to overcook the lobster; it cooks quickly and can become rubbery if left under the broiler too long.
