Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Seasoning
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Wrap Fillings
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup shredded lettuce or baby spinach
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup shredded cheese (optional)
- 2 tbsp ranch or chipotle mayo (optional)
Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness to ensure uniform cooking. Rub the chicken evenly with olive oil, then season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Grill the Chicken: Preheat the grill to medium heat. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 5–6 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is cooked through. Remove from grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Slice the Chicken: After resting, slice the grilled chicken breasts thinly to make filling the wraps easier.
- Warm the Tortillas: Slightly warm the tortillas in a dry skillet, microwave, or on the grill for better foldability and softness.
- Assemble the Wraps: If using, spread a spoonful of ranch or chipotle mayo over each tortilla. Layer on the shredded lettuce or baby spinach, sliced grilled chicken, avocado slices, halved cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, and shredded cheese if desired.
- Wrap and Serve: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly into a wrap. Slice in half and serve immediately or wrap tightly in foil for an easy meal on the go.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken as a quick shortcut to save grilling time.
- Add extra vegetables such as cucumbers, bell peppers, or sprouts for more crunch and flavor.
- For a low-carb alternative, use lettuce leaves or low-carb tortillas instead of flour wraps.
