Description

These Hot Honey Garlic Flatbread Pizzas are the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory. The hot honey and garlic sauce is drizzled over crispy flatbread, then topped with melted cheese, fresh arugula, and your choice of toppings. It’s a quick and easy meal that brings a burst of flavor with every bite!

Ingredients

For the Hot Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste for spiciness)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • Pinch of salt

For the Flatbread Pizzas:

  • 2 flatbreads (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup fresh arugula

  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion (optional)

  • 1/4 cup sliced bell pepper (optional)

  • Olive oil (for brushing)

  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Make the Hot Honey Garlic Sauce:

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a small saucepan, combine the honey, sriracha, minced garlic, olive oil, and vinegar. Cook over low heat for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce is heated through and the garlic is fragrant. Add a pinch of salt to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Flatbread Pizzas:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  2. Brush the flatbreads: Place the flatbreads on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top of each flatbread lightly with olive oil to ensure a golden, crispy crust.

  3. Add cheese and toppings: Sprinkle an even layer of shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top of each flatbread. If desired, add optional toppings like sliced red onion and bell pepper for extra flavor.

  4. Bake the flatbreads: Bake the flatbreads in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the flatbread is crispy around the edges.

Drizzle and Serve:

  1. Drizzle with hot honey garlic sauce: Once the flatbreads are out of the oven, drizzle the hot honey garlic sauce generously over the top of the pizzas.

  2. Top with arugula and basil: Scatter a handful of fresh arugula over the flatbreads, and garnish with fresh basil if desired.

  3. Slice and serve: Slice the flatbreads into wedges and serve immediately while hot and crispy!

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of sriracha in the hot honey sauce to suit your spice preference. You can add more or less depending on how spicy you want the pizzas.

  • You can also add protein like cooked chicken, sausage, or bacon as toppings.

  • If you prefer a tangier flavor, swap the honey for agave or maple syrup
