For the Cake:
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 6 large eggs, separated
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line the bottom of a 10-inch tube pan with parchment paper.
- Make the Cake: In a large bowl, sift together cake flour and half of the sugar. In another bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Mix egg yolks and vanilla in a separate bowl. Gently fold egg yolk mixture into the egg whites. Gradually fold in the flour mixture.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for about 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Invert the pan and let cool.
- Make the Frosting: Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Assemble: Once the cake is completely cool, frost with the whipped cream. Serve and enjoy!
