Description

A simple and flavorful maple mustard salmon recipe featuring a sweet and tangy glaze that caramelizes beautifully as it bakes.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush the maple mustard glaze generously over the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Optionally, broil for the last 1-2 minutes for a caramelized top.
  7. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh wild-caught salmon for best flavor.
  • Marinate salmon in the glaze for 15-30 minutes before baking for deeper flavor.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup to taste.
