Ingredients
Scale
Ravioli Layer
- 1 (25-ounce) package frozen beef ravioli
Cream Cheese Mixture
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Cheese and Sauce
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, divided (½ cup in mixture and ½ cup for topping)
- 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the lasagna.
- Make Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ½ cup Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Spread ¼ cup of marinara sauce evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking and add flavor to the base.
- Layer Ravioli: Place half of the frozen beef ravioli in a single layer over the marinara sauce in the dish.
- Spread Cream Cheese Mixture: Spoon half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the ravioli layer.
- Add Mozzarella Cheese: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
- Apply Marinara Sauce: Spread half of the remaining marinara sauce over the mozzarella layer to keep the layers moist and flavorful.
- Repeat Layers: Repeat layering with the remaining ravioli, the rest of the cream cheese mixture, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and the remaining marinara sauce.
- Top with Cheese: Finish by sprinkling the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the dish.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with foil to retain moisture and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
Notes
- Do not thaw the frozen ravioli before assembling; layering frozen ravioli helps maintain texture during baking.
- Covering the dish during the initial bake helps the ravioli cook through without drying out the cheese topping.
- Leftover lasagna can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
- For a vegetarian version, substitute beef ravioli with cheese or vegetable ravioli.
- If you prefer a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture or marinara sauce.
