Description

Pepperoni Chicken is a cheesy, hearty dish where juicy chicken breasts are topped with marinara, melty mozzarella, and crispy pepperoni, combining the best of pizza and comfort food in one easy meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2024 slices pepperoni
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place chicken in the baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until nearly cooked through.
  4. Remove from oven and spoon marinara sauce over each piece of chicken.
  5. Top each chicken breast with shredded mozzarella and 5–6 slices of pepperoni.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and return to oven.
  7. Bake for another 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly, and chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Garnish with chopped basil or parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a crispier top, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end of baking.
  • Use turkey pepperoni for a lighter option.
  • Serve with pasta, garlic bread, or a green salad for a complete meal.
