Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packs (7 oz each) fresh or frozen udon noodles
  • 2 tbsp chili oil (with chili flakes)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
  • Fried egg or tofu (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Cook udon noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix chili oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, green onion, and sugar until combined.
  3. Add hot drained noodles to the sauce and toss well to coat evenly.
  4. Top with sesame seeds and a fried egg or tofu if desired. Serve immediately.
