Description

These Rice Krispie Easter Nests are a fun and easy no-bake treat made with crispy rice cereal, melted marshmallows, and chocolate, perfect for celebrating spring or Easter with kids.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips (melted)
  • Mini chocolate eggs or candy-coated eggs, for topping
  • Cooking spray or butter, for greasing muffin tin

Instructions

  1. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  3. Add mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and quickly stir in Rice Krispies cereal until well coated.
  5. Scoop the mixture into the prepared muffin tin, pressing it into a nest shape using your fingers or the back of a spoon. Allow to cool and set.
  6. Once set, remove the nests from the tin and spoon a little melted chocolate into the center of each nest.
  7. Top with mini chocolate eggs or candy-coated eggs.
  8. Let the chocolate set before serving.

Notes

  • You can use white chocolate or colored candy melts instead of milk chocolate for variety.
  • To make nests easier to remove, use silicone muffin cups.
  • Add a drop of food coloring to the marshmallow mix for a festive look.
