Description

This School Breakfast Pizza is a fun and hearty way to start your day! With a fluffy pizza crust, scrambled eggs, melted cheese, and breakfast sausage, it’s like a breakfast casserole on a pizza. Perfect for a quick family breakfast or for meal prep during the week!

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to fit your pizza pan or baking sheet. Place it on the pan and set aside.

  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and scramble, stirring occasionally until fully cooked and scrambled. Set aside.

  • Cook the breakfast sausage in the skillet until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease and set aside.

  • Spread a thin layer of scrambled eggs over the pizza dough.

  • Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the eggs, followed by the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.

  • Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

  • Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.

  • Slice and serve immediately. Enjoy your breakfast pizza!

Notes

  • You can add vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrients.

  • For a healthier version, use turkey sausage or skip the sausage altogether and add more veggies or even some diced ham.

  • If you prefer a crispy crust, brush the edges of the dough with olive oil before baking.
