Ingredients
-
1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
-
6 large eggs
-
1/2 cup milk
-
1 tablespoon butter
-
1/2 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional)
-
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to fit your pizza pan or baking sheet. Place it on the pan and set aside.
-
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).
-
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and scramble, stirring occasionally until fully cooked and scrambled. Set aside.
-
Cook the breakfast sausage in the skillet until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease and set aside.
-
Spread a thin layer of scrambled eggs over the pizza dough.
-
Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the eggs, followed by the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
-
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
-
Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
-
Slice and serve immediately. Enjoy your breakfast pizza!
Notes
-
You can add vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrients.
-
For a healthier version, use turkey sausage or skip the sausage altogether and add more veggies or even some diced ham.
-
If you prefer a crispy crust, brush the edges of the dough with olive oil before baking.
