- 8 tostada shells
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large avocados
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (for avocado)
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 cup diced tomato
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mash avocados with lime juice and 1/4 teaspoon salt until smooth or slightly chunky, as desired.
- Spread a layer of mashed avocado on each tostada shell.
- Top with shredded lettuce, cooked shrimp, diced onion, and tomato.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
Notes
- Use store-bought or homemade tostada shells for convenience.
- Add a drizzle of sour cream or hot sauce for extra flavor.
- Shrimp can also be grilled or air-fried instead of pan-seared.
