- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Garnish
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Noodles: Cook the instant ramen noodles according to package instructions, omitting the seasoning packets. Once cooked, drain the noodles and set them aside.
- Sauté Aromatics: Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
- Make Sauce: Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes into the skillet. Let the sauce simmer for 1 to 2 minutes allowing it to slightly thicken and blend flavors.
- Toss Noodles in Sauce: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss them thoroughly so they are evenly coated with the sauce. Continue cooking for another 1 to 2 minutes until the noodles are heated through.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
