Description

This Sweet Baby Ray’s Crockpot Chicken is a simple and delicious way to make tender, flavorful chicken with minimal effort. With just a few ingredients, the slow cooker does all the work, leaving you with juicy, shredded chicken coated in the sweet and tangy goodness of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce. Perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or over rice!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce (or your favorite BBQ sauce)

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts or thighs into the slow cooker.

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, chicken broth (or water), Worcestershire sauce (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring the chicken is coated well.

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and easily shreds with a fork.

  • Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

  • Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it to coat in the sauce.

  • Serve the chicken on buns for sandwiches, in tacos, or over rice. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use chicken thighs for a richer, more flavorful result.

  • Feel free to add extra BBQ sauce for more flavor or to make it saucier.

  • If you prefer a bit of spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder.
