Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

1 (12-ounce) bag frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 (28-32-ounce) bag frozen tater tots

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen vegetables, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the top of the beef mixture.

Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until the tots are golden and crispy.

If using cheese, sprinkle it over the top during the last 5 minutes of baking.

Let it cool slightly before serving.

You can swap in cream of chicken or cream of celery soup if you prefer.

For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef while it cooks.
